Optimized Air Handling and Maximized Gas Exchange During Extracorporeal Life Support Procedures

The CMO8 Oxygenator with Tubing Pack from Chalice Medical expertly blends safety and performance during extracorporeal life support (ECLS) procedures. Meticulously designed and developed, the CMO8 utilizes an innovative flow path to enhance air handling capabilities and maximize gas exchange. A visible layer of heat exchange fiber (HEXPET) directs the flow inwards, forcing air towards a bubble trap at the top of the gas exchanger. In addition, the blood outlet port is strategically placed to maximize the membrane contact surface area, which leads to optimized gas transfer efficiency and excellent air handling properties. The surface of every CMO8 oxygenator is coated with RHEOPAK, a non-animal derived, heparin-free, human synthetic albumin formulation.
