Welcome Chalice Medical
MED Alliance International is excited to welcome Chalice Medical, the manufacturer of the CMO8, an oxygenator for use in extracorporeal life support (ECLS) procedures. MED Alliance will provide distribution and logistical support for the CMO8 Oxygenator, meticulously designed for safety, performance and endurance.
Formed in 1998 with headquarters in the United Kingdom, Chalice Medical’s mission is to create medical devices dedicated to the cardiac and perfusion sectors. Chalice manufactures multiple devices with an uncompromising approach to quality assurance.
The CMO8 Oxygenator utilizes an innovative flow path to enhance air handling capabilities and maximize gas exchange. The first of its kind, the CMO8 has a visible layer of heat exchange fiber (HEXPET) that directs the flow inwards, forcing air toward the bubble trap at the top of the gas exchanger.
The blood outlet port is strategically placed to maximize the membrane contact surface area which leads to optimized gas transfer efficiency and excellent air handling capabilities.
